WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
God is good, we are not; and that is our problem. Scripture says that “ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23)” and that “the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23)”. Those who have hated are called murderers (1 John 3:15). If we have lusted, Jesus says in Matthew 5:28 I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Throw in lying, swearing and a few other commands and well ……… we have a BIG problem. Given that God is a righteous Judge Who gives ALL what they deserve for breaking His laws what will happen to us if we stand before Him alone?
